Review: The Red-Hot Chili Cook-Off by Carolyn Brown

My goodness but for someone who does not have a fondness for chili I sure did enjoy this deliciously funny contemporary story. I will admit that I was hoping for a little more romance but this was a wonderful feel-good chick novel and I’d recommend it to anyone I know, heck I’ve already told my coworkers about it and my mother. It’s one of those books that you know most women no matter where they are in life will enjoy it. There are lots of giggles along with the seriousness and a good heaping of values as well as fun. Goodness knows when you have a bunch of gossipy small town men and women and lots of underwear is involved, you know you are in for an entertaining ride. I’m used to Carolyn Brown’s cowboy romances so I’ve come to expect a lot from this talented lady and I was not disappointed with this battle of the sexes foodfest.
