4/5 Review: EXCLUSIVE - Eden Bradley, Jaci Burton, Lisa Renee Jones

EXCLUSIVE contains three never before published novellas tantalizes the imagination with erotic romance. The three authors are known as the queens of erotic romance and man oh man do these ladies know how to start a fire. These authors make you want to jump into this erotic and sensual world, to the point you’re practically begging for it.


Sanctuary by Eden Bradley
This story is about an innocent woman who decides to venture into a dungeon of a private club just to get a taste of the exotic life she has read and heard much about. Devin the main female character is pushed beyond her means when it comes to entering this club. So much so that she pushes herself into continuing on the path she is on even though she is scared out of her mind.

Wild Night by Jaci Burton
This story is about an owner of a swinger’s club that ignores her own rule of keeping her hands off the customers when a newcomer joins in on the fun. Grace’s baby is her club and the employees that work for her. She plays from time to time but never really has that special someone she can call her own. Mike walks into the club determined to crack the code of the mysterious, sexy club owner one way or another.

Purple Magic by Lisa Renee Jone
Within the final story of this book, it is about a courageous woman in search of a friend of hers within the hedonistic world of Manhattan’s underground nightspots. Jolene needed to find her roommate, and was willing to do anything to get her back. However, Drago has other plans for Jolene and wants to keep her safe. These two team up and eventually find everything they are looking for and more.

3.5/5 Review: The Darker Side of Pleasure by Eden Bradley

This book contained 3 stories. Each of which were hard to read for me, 2 of which I couldn't finish. I can't stand the sadist and masochist part of BDSM, and that's what each of these stories were about. Being beaten, publicly humiliation and submission/sexual slavery.

The first story is about a husband and wife who are on the edge of divorce and decide to try one last thing to keep their marriage alive. I read through most of this story, but it hit on a lot of personal demons in my own past and I had to stop because it became too hard to read.

The second story is of a young woman who desires pain and reaches out to a trainer in the Dominant world. The Dom kept 3 women in his home naked at all times. They had to do his bidding, including bathing the new girl. I was a little blown away by that. The only thing that kept my interest was the main male character, the Doms nephew. This man was also a trainer in the Dom world, but when he looked at her, he wanted to hear her speak, hold her and give her everything she desired. While yes, she desired the pain, she was not into the humiliation she was getting at his uncles hand. This story is what gave this book the 3 points for me.

The last story I unfortunately could not get far into. A sex column reporter was interviewing a Dom for her BDSM story, he talked her into participating in order to get a better story. I was intrigued, until he mentioned her being naked and doing everything he said o ey his every command, serving him drinks, bending over his knee. I couldn't read any further. I enjoy reading of bondage and toy usage... but, while I understand woman enjoy being a sex slave, and enjoy pain and those kind of things, I do not. I cannot read about it either. So while I give this book a 3/5, my review is only one side of the spectrum. Others may completely love these stories, they are written well and meant to be enjoyed, just not by me.

This is the second installment in Eden Bradley's Dangerous series. It stands well alone. It's a story of loss and a story of healing.

Jamie's best friend dies but asks him to watch over his sister. A job Jamie takes to heart and blocks would be suitors from Summer Grace. Although, he is also fighting his attractiosn to her at the same time and thinks that he is too dark for her and would hurt her even more.

Summer Grace is a live wire, trying to find her place in the world. She has feelings for Jamie but he keeps turning her away. Until Jamie sees Summer Grace submitting to a Domme in his favorite BDSM Club. (a bit cliche but it works) Jamie begins thinking perhaps there should be more to their relationship then being friends. Can Jamie get Summer to trust him and give herself to him fully?


I found the characters to be strong and well-developed, the sex (yes, sex it's a BDSM novel!) scenes are wonderful and don't slog down the forward motion of the story as a whole. That being said if you are looking for a wonderful erotic romance then this one is wonderful and full of steam!

Review: Dangerously Bound by Eden Bradley

Allie LeClair traveled throughout Europe and even worked in San Francisco building her skills as a pastry chef, in hopes of one day expanding her families business in the city of New Orleans. Yet she has a secret, she was also exploring her submissive side in BDSM clubs...now that she is home she wants to prove she isn't a child anymore to her family, as well as the man who fuels all of her desires and fantasies. And she plans on making the first move....

Mike Reid is a security specialist, who has a dark side. He fights not only in the gym but also underground. He also has a beast inside himself that only BDSM rope bondage keeps at bay. When he hears Allie is back home, he wants to keep her safe but at the same time their history can not keep them apart.

Words can not express how much I enjoyed this book...I personally am into BDSM bondage and Eden Bradley just blew me away.

This lifestyle is complicated, and when emotions run high scenes can go from good to bad. The love story with the twist is so intense I actually began to feel sadness and happiness for both Allie and Mike, mainly because I personally have seen a relationship like this unfold in front of me and like these characters, the couple lived happily ever after.

This is a series I do plan to continue following and I am just anxious to see what is next from Eden Bradley.

When writing do you have a playlist of music you like to listen to? What are a couple songs on it? 

I always listen to music when I write-it helps to set the mood and tone for each book, and I have playlists in my iTunes for all the books I’ve written in the last several years. Some of the songs on the playlist for DANGEROUSLY BOUND are: Drive by Incubus (you have to listen to the lyrics--so touching), Relax My Beloved by Alex Clare (he’s a new obsession--love his stuff!), The Same Side by Lucie Silvas (a great song for a reunion story), Kingdom of Rain by The The (this one is on almost all of my writing playlists), Get Outta My Head by Intwine (an amazing band from the Netherlands-sadly not together anymore, but their lead singer Roger Peterson is a HUGE crush of mine!).

Do you remember what you felt when you had your first kiss? 

Well, my very first kiss was not terribly romantic. I was about four years old—I was playing The Wizard of Oz with the little boy who lived across the street. He kissed me right on the mouth and I was so mad I stormed home-lol! But my first *real* kiss…oh, that was another matter. I remember that melting feeling, heat just shimmering over my skin and right down into my bones. There’s nothing better than really hot kissing! 

What does your husband/significant other say about your writing erotic stories? What about your family and/or do they read your books? 

I’m very lucky in that my family is incredibly supportive of my writing. My parents even have several of my books on a table in their guest room for their visitors. My dad loves to tell people that his daughter writes ‘smut’-said in the most loving way. ; ) My brothers came to my first live reading, which was fairly excruciating! Even in a family as close and open-minded as mine, there are some things you just do not want to say in front of your brothers!

Besides your own, what is one of your favorite series to keep up with? 

I’m madly in love with Tiffany Reisz’s Original Sinners series! Those books are so gorgeously written, and her characters so complex—I wish I’d written them myself!

What do you think you would be doing if you weren't writing? 

I’d probably be teaching Pilates, which I did for a few years while still writing when the economy was taking a downswing. My specialty was clients with spinal issues, people who were post-surgery or post-chemo. I loved that sense of satisfaction in seeing my clients feel better, function better and their lives improve. And it was a great way to get me off my behind and exercising every day, which I don’t do nearly enough these days.

Do you have any hobbies or activities you enjoy doing? 

Is shopping for shoes a hobby…? *G*

Actually, I have several, and now that I think about it they’re mostly creative. I love to make ATC’s (Artist’s Trading Cards). These are small—the size of a playing card—bits of multi-media pieces. You can use pretty papers, ribbon, buttons, stickers, ink stamps, bits of lace…anything you’d use for scrapbooking and more. 

I’ve introduced it to a lot of author friends, including Jax Cassidy and Jeannie Lin, who have both since blogged about it. We’ve all found that it’s a refreshing way to exercise a different part of the creative mind. 

I’m also a huge costume geek! Right now I’m working on several costumes for the parties at the RT Booklover’s Convention in New Orleans in May, which I do every year. But one of my favorite things to work on are the steampunk costumes for the photo shoots we do for Smutketeers (my group blog with fellow authors R.G. Alexander and Robin L. Rotham). You can see the pics in the photo galleries on our blog. We’re due for another one in New Orleans--can’t wait!

My other current ‘hobby’ is raising my Boston Terrier puppy, Voodoo, which is keeping me pretty busy. He is the cutest cartoon character dog ever!

What is your favorite addition to chocolate? 

Currently, sea salt and caramel!

What is something you do to de-stress? 

I watch the most heinous reality TV. I have a secret—or now, not-so-secret—addiction to the Kardashians, every dating show around…it helps me to just shut my brain off and wind down when I’ve been working too much—which is most of the time. 

What do you do when you think nobody is watching? 

I sing. Seriously. I have the worst singing voice—a terrible crime since I come from a family of musicians. Believe me, it’s much better that I not expose anyone to my voice! The only time I’ll sing in front of other people is at karaoke if I’m with a big group I can hide behind.

What was your favorite childhood book? 

Ooh--so many! But if I had to choose just one I think it would be LITTLE WOMEN by Louisa May Alcott. I loved reading and re-reading about the March girls, and I’ve loved every single movie version ever made.

We all know about muses...what do you think inspires you to allow your creative juices flowing? 

Music is definitely a big factor. But I also take bits and pieces from my real life—romantic moments, my experiences in the kink world (which I’m very open about) have definitely inspired me a lot—characters, places…

10 Fun Facts about Eden:

I fall in love far too easily, but I guess that can be a good thing for a romance author. : )

When I was little I wanted to be a ballerina, a nurse, an archaeologist—and a writer!

I’m deathly allergic to avocados—a tragedy for a California girl! (and maybe not the most ‘fun’ fact).

I have had my toenails painted every single day of my life since I was eighteen. My favorite color is a dark eggplant/red.

I did competition body building in my twenties. I wanted to look like Linda Hamilton in Terminator 2.

I will read the same handful of books and watch the same handful of movies over and over again-they comfort me.

I read almost nothing but hard-core sci-fi for years.

I’m fascinated by ancient Egypt, something I share with my father and my great Uncle James, who passed before I was born—he was an archaeologist and worked at the DeYoung Museum in San Francisco. 

I love body art, collect tattoo books and have quite a bit of ink myself.

One of my favorite albums as a kid was Alice Cooper’s Billion Dollar Babies--I think I was eleven when I got it. To this day I know almost every single lyric to every song on that album. Some of my friends say that explains a lot. *G*
