Silver Wolf Christmas is by the talented author, Terry Spear.  I have had the opportunity to read many titles by this author and have loved every one of them, this book being no exception.  I found this story to be a little bit of a treat as it gave us a spooky element to the usual shifter story; its not every day you get to read about shifters and 'ghosts' in the same story.

 

The main characters in Silver Wolf Christmas is the lovely Laurel MacTire and the sexy CJ Silver who heat up the story quite well.  There is plenty of secrets to keep this pair apart but they seem to always be thrown together.  We also have a lot to do with Laurel and CJ siblings which is a nice sideline the main event.

 

Laurel and her sisters have come to Silver Town to renovate an old hotel which also happens to be the last place that their Aunt was ever seen.  They hope to find out some information on their aunt as well as renovating the hotel and make a little profit.  Do they stay.  Do they go.  These are two questions that constantly run through their minds as they fix the hotel.

 

CJ has returned home with his brothers to settle down again within the wolf pack.  Things are starting to look up when Laurel enters the story.  CJ knows she is his and is determined to prove it to her while protecting her with his life.

 

This story had everything to keep the reader interested.  It had the usual love match, which is so sweet and believable that you wish it was real life but it also had such depth and character that you just want to read page after page until you get to the ending.  It also had mystery, lots of mystery that you do wonder at times whether it should be classed as mystery, but then you have the action and you know for sure its in the right category.

This is a great story that incorporates the right amount of love, adventure, and internal struggles.  The flow of the story was very well executed.  There was no confusion as to what was going on and the writing style was on point.  I really enjoyed reading this story.  Falling in love with Paul and Lori had me heartbroken when the book finished.  They are an amazing couple who will do right by their pack.  Paul is a true leader and Lori is just the one to center him.  Since childhood she has always been the only one who could ever reach him emotionally.  Having mated for life with Lori and the issues arising in their hometown, Paul decides to stay and finally take leadership of his wolf pack.  With him staying, his best friend and fellow Seal, Alan stays as well as his second in command.  This vacation turns into puts them on a new path in life.  I would recommend this book to lovers of paranormal romance.  This wolf pack has me wanting to be part of their family.

Terry’s characters are strong and well developed.  The chemistry between the agents is potent and humorous.    I was pleasantly surprised and happy that I did not guess who was behind the poachers.

If you are looking for a great shifter romance with a lot of action and a bit of humor, Jaguar Pride is a wonderful choice.
