Reviews: A Shattered Moment by Tiffany King

A Shattered Moment is the first in Tiffany King's Fractured Live's series.

Mackenzie's life is changed forever, when on graduation night, she and her friends are in a horrible car accident. Most of her life long friends are killed when they are hit by a drunk driver. Fast forward a year and she has finally started college, she isn't the person she was before the accident - now she is antisocial and has physical scars of that night. Mac doesn't want anyone in her life.

My heart bled for Mac - how do you go on when your world is gone? It is nice to read a book that has a sense of innocence about it. The way Bentley cares about Mac and wants to bring her life peace is touching. It's a nice change to have a good guy trying to help a broken girl find her place in life and a place in his life.

If you are looking for a well written, sweet college romance - this is a keeper! I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Review: No Attachments by Tiffany King

Ashton Garrison walked away from her current life to escape the one thing she is unwilling to face. She knows her decision may be selfish, but in the end, leaving will be far less painful for everyone. She now has one goal: live life to the fullest with no regrets and no attachments. What Ashton doesn't count on is how fate always seems to find a way to screw up any good plan.

Nathan Lockton specializes in locating a mark. He's done it over and over again--no attachments and no emotion necessary. What he thought was a routine lost and found job has forced Nathan to deal with something he has always ignored--his feelings. He's never fallen for a target, and yet, he's never met anyone like Ashton. Now deep in a dilemma, Nathan must decide to follow his heart or complete the job he was hired to do.

Love can come when you least expect it. The question is: if the odds are stacked against you, how far are you willing to go for the one you love?

I like this book with its unusual format of alternating each chapter with different points of view from Ashton and Nathan.  I thought it was a humorous and sweet story with some steamy love scenes.  This was a book you could easily read in a weekend, short, sweet and so emotional.

It was heartbreaking thinking that Ashton had a bucket list and only a short time to fulfill it, But I liked all the fun things she wanted to do and that she persevered and worked hard on getting them all done.  I loved the interaction between her and Nathan and all the fun they had in getting to know each other. The hard part was why Ashton was doing the bucket list and that Nathan was trying to find her for his client, yet he didn’t know why and what to do.  A great read.
