Review: How to Lose a Lord in 10 Days or Less by Elizabeth Michels

I didn't think anything could make me feel differently about Lord Amberstall after meeting him in a previous book but Elizabeth Michels proves first impressions are not always accurate. Andrew Clifton is not quite the proud man I remember from his previous appearance and while he still has his pompous moments he soon became one of my favourite heroes. Now Katie made a much more positive impression on me in another previous story and I can't believe these were the two the author chose to put these two together. What a wonderful couple and I'm so glad she saw something I didn't. This was a wonderful adventure and it was fantastic catching up with some former acquaintances. There is no need to read the previous books to understand this story, however once you do read this one I know you'll be as big a fan as I am and you'll want to run out and get your hands on all this author's previous books.

Review: Desperately Seeking Suzanna by Elizabeth Michels

Sue Greene is one of the most interesting and appealing heroines I have come across between the pages of a book. She is so easy to relate to, (klutzy women need to unite) and so darn amiable. After all how can you not like a young lady who seeks out the dessert table before scanning her surroundings for eligible bachelors? I wholeheartedly disliked Sue’s mother and felt my heart ache for the way she treated her eldest daughter. Sue deserved not only kindness from her family but love and acceptance as well and I was so glad when Lord Steelings opened his eyes to see the wonderful woman in front of him. Even when I wanted to cuff him in the back of head for his ignorance I fell under the same spell Sue did. This is the second book I've read by this author and I'm a huge fan, she is definitely going on my must-read list as she writes with passion, humor and a heartfeltness that I couldn't help but get lost in. I'm looking forward to reading the adventures of many of the other characters I've met in this and the previous book.

I’m never so happy as when I feel as if I’ve stumbled upon a treasure and with this book I believe I have. Yes, I’m sure I have discovered a new addition to my must-read list. Elizabeth Michels has a fantastic skilled approach in bringing to life historical romance with the right amount of steam and humor. I’m just mad for the Mad Duke! Devon Grey is a fascinating leading man with so many layers. One moment he is so studious and serious about his travels and the next he is pulling pranks like a naughty little boy. The Lily readers first meet is so different from the Lily we come to know and it is fabulous watching all her traits revealed. I enjoyed the interactions of these two strong individuals and all the other characters they came into contact with. Even the baddies brought out a truly emotional response in me that days after reading the story I still want to thoroughly shake someone for their actions. I’m looking forward to reading Sue’s story to see just what all her blushes were about.
