5/5 Review: Servicing the Target by Cherise Sinclair

A discharged Army Ranger, Ben considers his job as a BDSM club security guard to be an excellent hobby. He’s never been tempted to join in. But everything changes when the notorious Mistress Anne inadvertently reveals the caring heart concealed beneath her Domme armor.

Now, he’s set his sights on the beautiful Shadowlands Mistress. Maybe he’d considered himself vanilla, but she can put her stiletto on his chest any day, any time. He’ll trust her delicate hands to hold his heart. And if she wants to whip his ass on the way to an outstanding climax, he’s just fine with that too.

Sure, he knows she likes “pretty boy” slaves. And he’s older. Craggy and rough. And six-five. Minor hindrances. The mission is a go.

**********
WOW!  What an incredible story and what a way to tell it.  I really enjoyed reading about Anne and Ben.  The strides they took to be with each other and the obstacles they had to overcome had me rooting for this couple.  She a Mistress in the D/S community, and he an ex-ARMY Ranger who is not only a well-known photographer but works security at the Shadowlands BDSM club, make quite the pair.  This story is filled with action, and addresses issues such as love, abuse, BDSM lifestyle, family drama and more.
Ben considers himself vanilla.  He is, however, intrigued with Mistress Anne.  She is his everything and is willing to try just about anything he can to be with her.  Even though she has a certain type of “boy” she likes as slaves something about him draws her to him.  When a chance at indulging in a scene with the Mistress occurs he takes the opportunity and runs with it.  She is also thrilled with this development.  Their mutual attraction and chemistry leads them into a relationship both want but scares her.  She guards her heart too tightly.  Will Ben be able to show her that even if he isn’t cut out to be a slave he still wants her dominance in the bedroom?  She owns his heart and he will not give up on her.  Will she be able to let him in and trust him?  She loves him but will he hurt her or help her heal from past pain?
I was blown away with this story.  I will admit that there were parts that had me crying.  I loved the emotions and the characters.  I recommend this book a million times over.

Review: This is Who I am by Cherise Sinclair

When trying to save a woman from slavers, Sam screwed up. Royally. Now Linda wants nothing to do with him. Or with BDSM. She won't even admit she's a masochist. As a dominant and sadist, he can give her what she needs, and when an opportunity arises, he slips into her life, intending to make amends. She's everything he knew she would be…except for her bullheaded determination to be 'normal'.

Now the horrible time is past, Linda just wants to return to her small conservative town, pick up her quiet life, and be normal. But how can someone who likes pain be 'normal'? To her dismay, when someone spray-paints her home with obscenities, Sam shows up to rescue her. Again. Doesn't he understand that the last thing she needs in her life is a sadist? He's amused by her objections. But his dry sense of humor doesn't disguise that he's tough as nails and dominant and stubborn. He's not going to let her drive him off this time. All too soon, she realizes she wants him to stay.

When he takes her to the Shadowlands, she finds a new home…until she hears a voice from out of her nightmares.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have loved every one of the Shadowland books. I have been waiting for this book to come out. It was another hit by Cherise Sinclair. After reading the previous books and how the captives were treated, I couldn’t wait to read Sam and Linda’s story. This is a gut-wrenching story of two broken people trying to be themselves. When Linda's children find out she was into BDSM, I wanted to cry at how they treated her. When Sam rode to the rescue many times I wanted to cheer. This is a wonderful book. I couldn’t put it down! If I could give it more then 5 hearts I would.
Linda had been held captive by the Harvest Association when she first met Sam. He broke through her remaining line of defense that she had. When she was freed, she wanted nothing to do with Sam or with BDSM. She wanted a normal life. She soon realized that there was nothing wrong with needing a little kink in your life. Sam soon finds out that someone has been spray painting nasty messages on Linda’s house. Sam goes out of his way to show Linda that they are good together and that she needs him. When Sam’s ex wife shows up in his life, Linda shows Sam that he doesn’t have to stand alone that she is there for him.
When Linda starts the sub training program at Shadowland’s she hears the voice of one of the men from the Harvest association. Linda goes out of her way to find him to bring the men responsible for her friend’s death to justice. When the handler gets a hold of Linda and tries to take her out of Shadowlands, Sam shows exactly why he is good with a whip.
