5/5 Review: Rocked by Love by Christine Warren

Rocked By Love is book four in the Gargoyles series by Christine Warren and like her other series it will leave you wanting more.  I've always loved Christine Warren's brand of paranormal romance. I absolutely enjoy reading her The Others series every now and then. Her stories have that sex and action that's so well-combined.

So once again, Christine Warren's delivers a fantastic Paranormal Romance novel. Kylie Kramer is a compelling, complex character who must learn more about her powers as a possible Warden to confront a mysterious threat that is making the local supernatural community go haywire.  Dag is the fourth guardian to be called forth to battle the Nocturnis and prevent evil running rampant. So far each guardian has mated with the female warden who woke him but does that mean that Kylie is also a warden?  The book is fast paced, perfectly plotted, and a gripping read. The ending was terrific.

Christine Warren's writing is amazing, and the intrigue and characters in her books are heart-stopping sometimes, damn near perfect all of the other times. While this book was graphic and sad in parts, there was also a great sense of love and bonding between the characters (every time I read the word Mate I sigh :) ) , and terrific adventure and humor. I fell in love with the characters and was very glad to see some of the older ones. I loved them all.  I loved all of the testosterone, the magic and beauty, the passion and the danger. Everything tied together seamlessly and I was thrilled. I plan on buying the rest of the series ASAP ! HIGHLY recommended.

This is the third book in the Gargoyle series. The plot seems to be thicken and only revealing little pieces as a time to the Guardians and their Wardens. We meet a new Guardian named Knox, and he is very similar to his brothers in his fierce protectiveness and stubbornness towards his mate. Poor Wynn has her own insecurities to deal with, the new Guardian, her missing brother, and even more trouble coming.

Knox's instincts tells him she's his she is special.However Wynn is a witch...he needs to convince her  that she's his mate and also needs to keep her safe from his enemies who attacking and killing the Guardians. I loved her character, because she wasn't easily swayed or accepting of the fact that she was his mate because he said so.....she was a challenge to him throughout the story and didn't give in so easily. I enjoyed Wynn character as when she first met Knox she was ready to dismiss him because she was pissed off that she could not be a Warden.There was confrontation, friction, and lots of denial going on from pretty much everyone..Full of mystery as Wynn and Knox seek out her missing brother and a nice touch to add in her uncle as they need all the help they can get.

Warren has created memorable, compelling characters and a rich, well-conceived world in Gargoyles Series . Unlike so many series popular at the moment, this book does not rely on placing the main characters in some life-threatening situation in the first chapter to gain the reader's attention. Instead, Warren takes time to introduce us to Knox and Wynn, showing us what these characters are like, discovering personality traits and weaknesses. It's such a refreshing change to simply watch the characters demonstrate their more interesting qualities instead of simply being told 'she's really independent and clever' or 'he's dark and brooding. Warren gives the reader the rare opportunity to find these details on his/her own, creating a bond between characters and reader that has been sorely lacking in recent literature.


So if you like sarcastic heroines who make you smile and enjoy seeing them teamed up with a super alpha then this delivers. Amusing and very well written. loved these characters and this world; the world building and potential was tremendous. Knox and Wynn were great complements for each other; they completed each other and made the other better without making the other irrelevant. In a nutshell, what’s not to love with Hard As A Rock ? There’s action aplenty, plot advancement, character development, and romance. I can not wait for Book 4 (This one’s a winner in my book! :)

            I liked how Fil was so enamored with the Gargoyle statue and kept on investigating to figure out what was going on. The romance with Spar was hot and steamy and yet so tender. Such a great book and series.

Review: Heart of Stone by Christine Warren

Heart of Stone was a very enjoyable read as not only was the story fast-paced and action packed, but the characters were likable and original. I particularly grew fond of Ella who is not your usual simpering female. You couldn't find two more different charcters: prim and polite, shy and professional geek that is Ella and the protective, yet gentle guardian that is Kees,And  yet their pairing is believable and the chemistry between them sizzles!

This is a wonderfully written story about choices, love (with steamy scenes), and honor. I enjoy the fact that Ella and Kees did not  play games as the get to know one another. I also like how Ella  and Kees play on an intellectual level. I think this book had a lot of seduction however, I would have ejoyed a few more hot love scenes.

I always like when a women in a series are either already incredibly strong or that ultimately the men this these series work to make sure that they become stronger. Sure maybe there are bumps in those roads but all and all each couple tries to boost their other half up instead of holding them down. Ella might start off timid but by the end she isn’t waiting for a man to come and rescue her, she will damn well rescue herself and her man from whatever is coming her direction.

Besides the sexy and fun romance, the book is full of some gripping fast paced action, as well as an infusion of new and interesting characters. Christine Warren has created another winning series.This book will definitely keep you entertained and interested,you also will be hooked on another new series.

Heart of Stone is the first novel in a brand new series from New York Times bestselling author Christine Warren!

 Christine Warren's novels are known for their humorous twists and turns of otherworldly creatures.  She has hit the New York times list with 11 of the Others novels, well deserving the rave reviews she received from bestselling authors like Julie Kenner, Kerrilyn Sparks, and Cheyenne McCray, calling her "red hot", "engaging", "fun, fast, and fabulously sexy"!

Ella was scared because some people made her senses wide open and unnatural energy threatened to overcome her, so that it made it hard for her to function for days or weeks at a time. Totally exhausting her. She felt the evil energy when she was at the fundraiser to help raise funds for the museum. Patrick was the one who made her skin crawl and she just wanted to get away from him and recuperate. Into the garden for a quiet time, only to be attacked by Patrick.  She was saved by her favorite gargoyle Kees who came to life, even though she had no idea this would happen. Kees, who had been slumbering for ages, wondered what threat had awoken him.

This got very confusing and steamy as they tried to find out what was wrong and to figure out just who Ella really was. Kees needed to protect her and train her before it was too late.

This book was amazing in the details of the different characters and what they did and how they intertwined with each other. I would definitely read it again and read more books by Christine Warren.  This supernatural mystery romance was very hard to put down, lots of laughs along the way.
