Shifting Destinies is book 3 in the Hidden
Hills Shifter Series by Vella Day. I
haven't read any of the other books in this series, but that didn’t seem to make
a difference in understanding anything that was going on. It was a very quick read and I look forward
to reading more from this author.
I loved the connection that was made
between our two main characters, Wade Black and Emmaline Wilder. They had such hot chemistry!! The story was built around them, but was told
in such a way that it made you endear to them, wanting to know what was going
to happen next.
Emmaline has trouble accepting that mates
exist, especially coming from the family background that she comes from. Her family are prejudice against any shifters that is not wolf, and nothing terrifies her more than for them to find out that
the shifter that has her heart is not a wolf.
Wade is a proud bear shifter and knows he
has found his mate when he sees Emmaline, now all he has to do is convince her
that mates exist and sometimes destiny knows best. He has a plan and he only hopes destiny is
truly on his side!
A great read and I would recommend to
anyone that is looking for a book that they could read in a quick hour.
