5/5 Review: Mine by Helenkay Dimon

She doesn’t depend on anyone for anything. He intends to make her his completely.
Natalie Udall thought her position at the CIA was secure—until protecting her team earned her an armed escort into certain danger. Natalie can’t stand the idea of being secreted away in a cabin in the middle of nowhere, especially since it means sharing close quarters with the controlling bodyguard enlisted to keep her alive.

Gabe MacIntosh joined the military to support his son, trained as a sniper and dealt with death on a regular basis. Now retired and operating a security firm, his first assignment is to protect a CIA agent on the run. She’s strong willed and difficult—and all Gabe can think about is exerting his domination and stripping her of every expectation she has.

Natalie has no intention of giving in to Gabe’s straightforward demands of dominant sex with no attachments—even though the very idea of giving up control thrills her like nothing ever has…

This is the third installment in the Holton Woods Series by HelenKay Dimon.  I haven't read the rest of the series but will say this stands well on it's own.

Natelie is a CIA agent out of a job.  She was the head of a team, when thier mission goes to hell. Now, she is both on the run and in negotiations with the powers that be that want to ensure she is kept quiet any way possible. Gabe is a former sniper turned security and protection.  Natelie's lawyer hires his firm to keep her safe.

Even before it was time for Natelie to lay low for awhile, Gabe was with her and has been trying to talk her into going into hiding.  She refuses so he takes matters into his own hand and drugs her wisking her off to a secluded and well fortified mountain hideaway.  While spending quality time together just the two of them Natelie finds herself more and more attracted to Gabe.  She puts up a great fight especially when he demands her complete submission.  She hates it but finds it a relief to let him be in charge.  (so, this means some yummy adult content)

Can Gabe save Natelie from the people who want her silenced permanently?  Will Natelie trust Gabe enough to trust him and give herself to him completely?

Ms. Dimon's writing is lovely, the story flows great - would have been nice to have a little more action, but her characters are strong and well-developed.  So, if you are in the market for a fast paced steamy romance then this one is well worth it.  I look forward to seeing more by this author.
