3/5 Review: Come by Becca Jameson

Katy Marks has worked hard for years to make partner at her law firm and be accepted in a man’s world. She hasn’t had much time for play. Now she has a stalker, one of the firm’s partners who hopes to entice her to gain promotion by sleeping with him. Backed into a corner, she grabs an unexpected opportunity. She wards off his unwanted advances by plastering herself against the sexy man leaning casually against the wall outside her uncle’s gym.

Rafe Wesson is stunned by one look at the sexy woman so totally out of place in the gym and finds himself flattened by his best friend and sparring partner. Scrambling to ensure he gets a chance to speak with her, he instead finds himself KO’d by a kiss that rocks his world and hardens him in all the right places.

Katy isn’t Rafe’s type. She’s far too innocent. Besides, she’s the gym owner’s niece. But two dates don’t dampen his desire or release her from his thoughts. Rafe has personal rules against sleeping with a woman before they are fully informed about his dominant ways. But Katy is testing his patience. She wants him, but he fears she won’t be as persistent when she finds out about his preferred lifestyle.

Rafe tries to step away from her, but he can’t ignore the unknown threat that stalks her, and time is running out. Someone wants Katy dead. And Rafe wants Katy...very much alive.

**********

Come is book one in the Fight Club series by Becca Jameson.  It is a very easy read, but don't be fooled by how easily flowing it is as some scenes are quite sexual in the most basic BDSM way.
Katy Marks is trying to live in a very much “mans” world and trying to make partner at the lawfirm she works at.  One of the partners at work propositions her that she could make it easier on herself if she was to sleep with him and corners her in a way that she feels she has no choice but to rescue herself in the form of the fighter at her uncles boxing gym.  She grabs the guy she spots and this is where we meet the hero of the story, Rafe.  He is gorgeous, sexy , protective and very pissed that someone should try to use her in such a way.
The storyline flows along nice enough with Katy and Rafe getting to know each other, some sexy sex scenes and finding away to rid the world of the scum following Katy.  Katy is a very independent woman and for someone who knew nothing of BDSM she certainly flowed into the scene easily, I did expect more of a struggle coming to grips with the world that plays differently that she is used to.  Rafe is such a dirty speaker that at the same time I can see why she fell into step so quick.

Im looking forward to book two and I thoroughly recommend you to start this series today.
