5/5 Review: Bonded by Laura Wright

Ranch hand Blue Perez’s once simple life is spinning out of control. He’s discovered he has three half-brothers, and they’re not ready to accept his claim on the ranch. Also, Blue’s girlfriend may have betrayed him in the worst way possible. And after one evening of drowning his sorrows at the bar, there’s someone he can’t get out of his mind, a woman who says she’s carrying his child.

Following a night of breathtaking passion in the arms of a man who now rules her dreams, waitress Emily Shiver is contemplating her next step. Blue is determined to be a part of her life, yet she would rather raise the baby on her own. But when she becomes the target of someone’s dark obsession, Emily must let Blue in—to both her heart and her future.

**********

I'm in love.  Both Blue and Emily had me emotionally a mess.  The characters were complex, enthralling and just plain real.  I felt every struggle, every heartache, every tear.  Blue's mother is another character that I can relate to in the sense of being a single mom with the only thing going through you is the intense need to protect your child.  I cried when
Blue wouldn't forgive his mother for the secrets she held from him.  This book is filled with romance, real issues, drama, action and more.  This is a definite most read.  I could go on to tell what my favorite parts of the book were but that would be spoilers.

Laura Wright has an amazing talent with word.  She brings the story to life in ways that unfortunately others cannot.  I recommend her books, this one especially, to those romantics who love reading about real issues.  I see a lot of people who can relate to each character in this book.  Truly the work of a great writer.
