5/5 Review: The Billionaire Takes A Bride by Jessica Clare

"Your mother has cancer" talk about an eye catching story opener! I was shocked and my mouth dropped, same as Sebastian did when he was told it was all for rating on his mother's reality show! Talk about your desperate plea for attention from your audience. Reading about Sebastian's crazy family made me cringe, but I guess that's the point. I'd refuse to be a part of their show too. So when he meets the beautiful Chelsea his world brightens a little. But she's got a serious case of the secrets that she's not willing to share...

Chelsea is a kick ass roller derby girl and her guts on the rink make me super jealous. But when she's alone she has panic attacks that would scare the crap out of anyone, so when she meets the cool, calm and sexy Sebastian at her friends wedding pre-rehearsal dinner and her instinctual panic doesn't arise, she asks for his help to get her through all the wedding events as her "safety date"

The idea of a safety date seems like a brilliant idea and it drags me into this fantasy of "what if" and "will they" which of course keeps me interested and desperate for more! Then Sebastian proposes a fake marriage to keep his crazy ex and the crazy cameras off him... I found myself saying yes right along with Chelsea! Who wouldn't want the safety and comfort that comes with what he has to offer her. I love reading the thoughts of the two characters and how hard it is for each to live their every day lives. I'm desperate to find out Chelsea's secret and for Sebastian to make all her pain and worries go away!

The whole book kept my attention and kept me up late into the night wanting more and missing when it was over. The author writes remarkably and vividly. I'll definitely be reading more from this author!
