Lover Reborn by J.R. Ward

Synopsis
Ever since the death of his shellan, Tohrment is a heartbroken shadow of the vampire leader he once was. Brought back to the Brotherhood by a self-serving fallen angel, he fights again with ruthless vengeance- and is unprepared for a new tragedy. Seeing his beloved in dreams—trapped in a cold, desolate netherworld—he turns to the angel to save his former mate, only to despair at the path he himself must take to set her free. As war with the lessers rages, and a new clan of vampires vies for the Blind King’s throne, Tohr struggles between an unforgettable past, and a future that he doesn’t know he can live with… but can’t seem to turn away from.

My Review
Let me just say, that this was by far the longest BDB book J.R Ward has written. Therefore there is a lot of information in this story. We read about the Band of Bastards run by Xcor, a hit on Wrath and the brave Qhuinn who risks his life to save his king, a small problem between Xhex and John, something happening between Qhuinn and Layla, and at the end finally something possible between Qhuinn and Blay. ( I know I'm probably confusing you, guess you'll just have to read it to find out *weg*) The only downfall was everything in the book is set up for the future stories. I was kinda disappointed she left it the way it was. Don't get me wrong the book was great but I'm ready for Qhuinn and Blay and what's going to happen, and would have liked some closure for other parts,
but i also know if she had kept it going, I'd still be reading and we wouldn't have anything to look forward too.

Now on to who the book is about...Tohr. He made me laugh, smile, cry, yell and want to rip my hair out. I am not going to go any further because I don't want to spoil anything with him.

I highly recommend Lover Reborn and can't wait for the next installment. The Black Dagger Brotherhood have always and will always have my <3

  1. As far as No'One is concerned, she's kind of like that girl your best guy friend just started dating: you either liked her going into it, or you were willing to tolerate her for the sake of Tohrment. Again, I felt like she could have been fleshed out a little better, but there's something compelling about her, so that you can't help but hope she comes into herself in some way significant. Is she the greatest shellan ever written? No. But do you hope she and Tohrment can make it work? Absolutely. Just like you'd hope for the happiness of anyone you found yourself invested in, as we have been with Tohrment for the last ten years.
