Wild Hearts by Tina Wainscott

On as good day as a Navy Seal, you save a life, protect a freedom, stop a killer and on a bad day… well you don’t get to have a bad day. But then one Seal team does. I really enjoyed this book. It was very fun to read. The characters were well explained and played out in the book. The author took time to give details in each part of the book. I think that it was well written and makes me want to read more books by Tina.


I really like the part where they are in the room and he is handcuffed and she says that she does not have a condom, so he tells her to go and get one from his brother and when she is gone he escapes and climbs out onto the balcony and jumps to get away. I like the fact that when they are talking as a family about his trip to Mexico and he sticks to his guns about not telling them any information that is classified; it really makes me think that is the way it really is. I would recommend this book for all readers.

It wasn't an obsession with her just a way to earn a living for now.


Shortly after returning to England she was playing in a gambling hall and noticed young man playing cards with a man about 10 years older than him, Colin, and it was obvious the younger man was loosing badly. Furious she followed the older man home and asked if she could play a game of cards to erase the young mans debts. Little did she know that Colin was going to erase them anyway as he didn't believe in winning that much money from a young man who was in over his head.  Emma lost and was furious with herself, because the young man was her brother. 


Colin was entranced with Emma and was trying to find out who she was.. Emma had arrived and was trying to get Colin to play another game to erase her brother’s debt and the attraction between the two was obvious to her father when he arrived on behalf of his son. When her father saw her dress in array, he challenged Colin and there began the road to marriage that Emma never wanted.  




Jane Ashford did a great job of telling about the emotions of the different people and how families work against each other. I liked the descriptions of London and the different headstrong people clashing with each other, yet trying to get on with their life. A nice historical romance with more than one romantic couple to follow.

Texas K-9 Unit Christmas by Shirlee McCoy and Terri Reed

This book is two short stories set at Christmas time, where the Texas K-9 units and their handlers are the heroes.  Both these stories help the reader fall in love with the dogs and the magic of Christmas while having suspense and mystery.  Everything you could possible want in a book and written by two great authors.

Revving Up the Holidays by A.S. Fenichel

I adored this book from the beginning to the end.  I know this is off the wall but I enjoyed the way the author described Hannukkah.  I have heard about it before but I never knew what the Menorah stood for, nor did I know the traditions that took place. Issac was a workaholic, and he never took the time to enjoy his life he just worked. When his partner told him to take some time off he went back home for the holidays.  When Issac returned home he runs into Giada.  Issac has always had a crush on her but never acted because Giada was his sister's best friend. Issac finds out that Giada also had feelings for Issac.  Issac hadn't been home since his father died two years ago.  He was so estranged from his family that they didn't even know that he had been engaged or that she had passed away.  Issac is ready to start living again.  He finds out to his surprise that his Mother kept his Harley from his teenage years.  Issac is determined to rebuilt his bike and his life and start living again.  After all, it is the season for miracles.

Guilty Pleasure by Manuela Cardiga

I will be honest when I got this book, I was sure that I wouldn't enjoy it.  I was so very wrong.  I am glad that I got it and that I enjoyed it so much.  I know want to read more books by this author.  Guilty Pleasures is a theme restaurant that only does private parties.  Lance is a writer and a sex therapist. He is approached by Millicent's mom to impregnate her daughter.  This the answer to Lance's money problems.  Lance changes all his old ways just to get Millie to even notice him.  He takes a job at Guilty Pleasures to be close to Millie.  The problem that he never saw coming was falling in love with Millie.  Now he is stuck between loving Millie and the arrangement that he made with Millie's mom.

Rule Breaker by Lora Leigh

The wonderful Lora Leigh has another hit Breed book on her hands.  I absolutely loved reading Rule Breaker's book.  I have been waiting for it since Lawe's book came out.  Rule is one of these Breeds that you love yet want to strangle at the same time.  This book had me hooked from the beginning all the way to the end. This book had ups and downs in an emotional roller coaster.  I couldn't stop reading this book.  When I found out that I got to review it I let out a fan girl squeal.  Reading about Gypsy in the beginning of the book broke my heart.  I wanted to smack the crap out of Gypsy's mom in the book.   I had to laugh when Rule kept checking for the mating hormones in his mouth.  I am not going to release any spoilers, but you have got to read this book!

At the River's Edge by Mariah Stewart

Mariah Stewart has once again proven why is is on my auto buy list and why she is one of my favorite authors.  I couldn't get enough of this book and read it in a few hours.  This book is like coming home for me.  Yes, I know the people and the city are not real but that doesn't stop me from wishing it was. You get to see characters that you have known from the first book in the series.  Even though this book is not out yet, I can't wait for the next book in the Chesapeake Diaries.

When Sophie Enright has a REALLY bad day, she takes some time off and goes to see her brother and Grandfather in St Dennis, Maryland.  There she see's how over worked her brother is in the family's law firm.  She decides to move and help him out.  The problem is that she doesn't want to be a lawyer anymore.  She wants to follow her dream and become a Chef.  Sophie runs into Jason Bower and feels the attraction to him, even after she caught her boy friend cheating on her.  Sparks fly when Jason tries to buy a piece a property next to his land only to find that Sophie has bought it from under his nose.  Will Sophie and Jason get their happily ever after?  You must read this wonderful book to find out.

Celia and Misha light sparks off one another, and when the sister's get together it makes for fun and lightning fast dialogue that will crack you up. The sexual tension sizzles off the pages, between Celia and Aric and the story is so fast paced and packed with action you trip over your own fingers getting to the next page. Filled with information and introductions to the Weird Girl world, you'll find yourself reaching for the next book immediately-only it's not out yet!

Cursed By Destiny had me hooked from the very first page, the plot was fantastic, their enemies were creepy and horrifying and I had my heart in my mouth several times in absolute terror about what was about to happen. By the time I reached the end I felt like I had been through every single possible emotion (some more than once) and I was left reeling at the end of it. The end of the book made me drop my jaw to the floor. I don't know how I'm going to survive the wait for the next book! If you haven't come across this series then I really can't recommend it highly enough. Cecy Robson has now become one of my auto buy authors and I will be devouring anything else she publishes the second I can get my hands on it! Perfection is the only word I can use to describe it and I don't know that that conveys all that I feel about this book.

What had happened to them and how could he fix it.  After getting new assignments he was off an running around the world, interviewing the stars of the movies to see how he could get more knowledge of that world. This world was so different and you had to be careful how you asked questions and how you handled people in order to get answers. Hopefully this would help him get the love of his life back.


I like this book as it gave you an inside look into the world of movies and actors and how they work. The scenery described was fantastic and the love line was intertwined with lots of fantastic love quests.

Addison leaves her home after broken engagements to try to get away and rethink what she wants to do and how to get on with her life.  She meets up with her cousin, Mia, who encourages her to move there and start a new business, in of all fields weddings.  This charming town has created a new idea of having weddings in the area with the local business together called Wedding Row. After almost going under the town is getting back on its feet with a lot of help from young people coming back to town to help out. Reid is one who has returned and is not encouraged by the wedding scene. He thinks that it will not be profitable for the town and especially his family. The story is about more than one romance and also someone from Addison’s past coming to try to make amends.



The quiet small town is fascinating with all the different people involved in trying to make a living and above all several fun light hearted romances going on. This was an enjoyable easy read book that made it seem like it would be fun to live in a small town. I want to read the other books in the Cricket Creek series to enjoy more of the author's fun creative writing. I liked the story line on how people can change their lives in order to overcome problems and situations.

He also had a friend that needed a lot of help that he couldn't do anything more for him. Billie was a strong lady but how long could she hold out against Adrian who was so tempting and sexy.   She wanted to know more about him, who he was, where he was from and what made him who he was.


This book was well written with lots of details about emotional battles. Very sexy with great subplots that kept you in suspense. The battles within Adrian made you hope for the best for him. Very romantic with lots of touching insight on how a man can feel and want the best for someone he loves. Shelby Reed has made the characters believable and with the tough situations its hard to put down the book.

Sinister by Lisa Jackson,Nancy Bush, Rosalind Noonan  is a thoroughly enjoyable book. Not only is it a romance story but it is full of suspense as well. I love the way the three authors came together for this book. "The romance, the investigation, the dysfunctional of the two rival families, the Dillinger's and the Kincaid's was described with no hiccups. You would not have even known that it was three different authors. Lisa Jackson does a great job capturing the feel of small town Wyoming and everyone from the townspeople to the crooked fireman are genuinely portrayed and add to the flavor of the book. There is never a dull moment in Prairie Creek, Wyoming once the Dillenger's get together.

I have been reading Lisa Jackson for several years now. I started reading her back when she was writing mainly romance novels. Then she went into the suspense genre and got even better. I love her books so much that I read everything she writes.You will not be able to put this book down.

Romantic suspense readers will loudly speak praise for Lisa Jackson, Nancy Bush and Rosalind Noonan thriller. The tension builds higher and higher until the story line seems ready to explode. The characters are an interesting cast who struggle to overcome mistrust, tragedy and separation. Ms.Jackson, Ms.Bush and Ms.Noonan has written a terrific tale that will garner them many new readers.

The Last Man on Earth by Tracy Anne Warren

This was such a good story, one of the best developed plot lines I have read from Tracy Anne Warren, that is saying a lot because I have liked so many. The main characters of this one I felt so deeply for Zack  who was a ruthless business man, it was very hard for him to let himself fall in love. He really did have some cruel moments, but he was so well  matched by Madelyn. She had so much positive energy but she brought him into her light. She wasn't argumentative or naive but she was strong in a gentle way and her and Zack were rocking the house a lot in this book, it was hot and hard!

I felt like this book was just a great combination of romance, sex with a really good plot and characters. I will definitely be reading more of Tracy Anne Warren books and would definitely suggest this! It was one fun read.

I loved Ronnie’s attitude. She was funny, snarky and doesn’t take anyone's crap. “Can’t these guys get a fucking clue and leave us the fuck alone? For fucks sake.” She plopped down on the bar stool next to Cameron where he sat holding down the fort. He laughed and pulled Jordan onto his lap. “Can you say fuck anymore in one sentence?” “Yes, I fucking can.” 
 Kale was great. He was a really sweet and all around good guy. Impossible not to love him!

This isn't your average boy meets girl book. For me this is a book about letting your guard down and seeing things for what they actually are and were. Being able to open yourself up to the possibility of love and moving on even if it means getting yourself hurt in the process...

I could feel the sizzle in the pages and I am not ready to let Kale and Ronnie go as a couple. I'm needing more.

Before Jamaica Lane is an engaging story and the fifth book in the On Dublin Street series. Each book is a stand-alone and features a different member in the group. I love the relationship between all the friends. They give each other a hard time, but also have each other’s back. I love both Nate and Olivia. Olivia is a strong, confident woman except when it comes to men. Nate is a  hot guy who is also very nice and is used to women falling all over him. They have an explosive chemistry and Nate has fun teaching Olivia everything he knows. Olivia is a good student and enjoys the lessons, more than she wants to. Can good friends become lovers?

 

Before Jamaica Lane is an emotional, angsty, passionate, sexy, and captivating read. The ending was perfect and made all the angst and heartache worthwhile. I truly loved so much about this book. I highly recommended this story to anyone looking for a realistic, emotional, and memorable read that's overflowing with heart and soul.

In this book that runs parallel to her TroubleShooter’s world, Suzanne once again comes through with an action packed story that was so exciting I couldn’t put down. I actually read this book in 4 hours. I love that Suzanne Brockman took the time to introduce us to the characters so that we could get a feel for them. For those of us who are Troubleshooters fan it was nice to get reacquainted with old friends (Deb,Martell &Yashi) and introduced to new ones (Former Navy SEAL Ian, his "lawyer" Phoebe, and the rest of his team: Aaron,Francine& Shelly).I really appreciated the time the author took in the first half to give us a feel of the history between the main characters. As I got halfway thru the book I was reminded what I love about Suzanne’s writing. She creates strong male & female leads, loveable secondary characters, lots of action, humor and love. I am so looking forward to her new series Reluctant Heroes. Do or Die is Romantic suspense at it's best!
