Review: Shadow's Awakening by Molle McGregor

Review:

Hannah as been held captive by demons for what seems like an eternity. She tried everything to escape but Glenn always seems to catch her. The pain and torment he inflicts on her has made her numb. If only she could get the fuzzy static in her head to go away.

Conner has been a solider forever keeping humans safe from the Vorati. He is great at his job and always seems to be at the top of his game. One call from the Oracle sets his word upside down. The Oracle wants him to rescue Hannah because they believe she is a Shadow. He does just that and during the process they fall in love.

Can Conner keep Hannah safe? Can Shadows and Warders really be together? I'm a huge fan of Paranormal Romance but the Shadow Warder brings a fresh look to the PNR world. I love how theses heroes and heroine aren't exactly shifters or witches, but something else entirely. I started reading Shadow's Passion as a #Free book on Amazon and been hooked ever since!

BLURB:

To protect her, he let her go. Now he'll risk everything he believes in to get her back.

Hannah Green wants her life back. In three years she's gone from promising graduate student to patient in a mental hospital. Now she’s being held prisoner by a terrifying group of men who believe she has a mysterious psychic power. She wants to think they’re wrong, but something inside her has changed. If only she could use her power to set herself free.

Conner’s entire life he’s played by the rules. He’s a soldier. A leader. He knows better than anyone that contact with the Shadows is forbidden. So when a midnight phone call demands he rescue one from a nest of demons, he has no intention of following through. Until he sets eyes on Hannah. Brave, beautiful and determined to survive. Conner can’t walk away.

When you’ve worked so hard to make the right choices, temptation can be a kind of torture. Conner knows he should turn Hannah over to the Shadows. Hannah wants to be grateful for her rescue and let Conner go. But when love and desire bind two strangers together, they have to choose between what they think is right and what they know they need.

If you love magic, psychics, demons, tons of action, urban fantasy & paranormal romance, this series is right for you. Recommended for ages 17+ due to the adult nature of the romantic elements. (Meaning, it's not erotica but the love scenes are pretty steamy!)
