Review: Risk Taker by Lindsay McKenna

The Shadow Warriors series

A Navy SEAL fights the most important battle of his life—love—in New York Times bestselling author Lindsay McKenna's Shadow Warriors miniseries

In the mountains of Afghanistan, her daring rescues have made Medevac pilot Sarah Benson a legend. She loves taking her helicopter where others fear to fly—the danger, the adrenaline…and the distraction from thinking about her own hurt heart.

U.S. Navy SEAL Ethan Quinn is man enough to prize Sarah's valor as well as her beauty. But his efforts to reach his beautiful colleague cannot pierce her armor. Can he prove that it's possible to find love in a war zone?

Risk Taker by Lindsay McKenna is a story loaded with action and romance. Outwardly strong Sarah has an inner pain that Alpha Male,Ethan will do anything to heal. Ethan is sensitive, romantic and hot, all wrapped up in one hunky body. Sarah's self-loathing runs deep due to a childhood that was filled with abuse from those who should have cared for her. Sarah decided that she would not be a victim, instead she would be a survivor. This is a beautiful story of healing, bravery and finally finding the love that we all hope for.

I love the poetry that Ethan wrote to Sarah.I also like that their romance is one that unfolded slowly over time so that the readers could actually fill them falling in love. If you are looking for a nice romantic read then I highly recommend this book.  A compelling read all the way to the end.I am looking forward to the next book in the series.
