4/5 Review: DARK ALPHA'S LOVER by Donna Grant

This is my first Donna Grant book. It is also the fourth in her Reaper series. I can't say if I missed something tuning in having not read the beginning. It reads alright as a standalone.

Fintan - is a Reaper. He was Fae until he was betrayed and killed. Death picked him up made him strong and he now is an assassin, killing his own kind. When he is out hunting he comes across a halfling (half human/half fae). He knows that she can be used to bring the enemy forth. However, he is drawn to her. Her quiet strength and determination to withstand what life is thrown at her.

Cat doesn't believe that she has any magical abilities but is aware that it is in her family. A family that has been annihilated for the most part, with the exception of her adoring Grandfather. When she strikes a deal with the Devil (or the Reaper), the story unfolds.

Ms. Grant's characters are strong and well developed. Her plot lines are strong and will draw you into the story. It's a different kind of paranormal, with twists and turns that will keep you involved. I may go back and read the series from the beginning and see what I missed along the way. I would recommend this book for anyone that enjoys Paranormal with suspense and action involved.
